ELCA Malaria Campaign

This spring, proceeds from our fellowship giving will be donated to the ELCA Malaria Campaign. A child dies from malaria every 45 seconds. Today we are in a special moment where we could turn this around. Working through Lutheran churches in Africa, the ELCA Malaria Campaign is uniquely positioned to provide mosquito nets, insecticides, medication, health care, education and more to help eliminate deaths from this disease – for good. Kids Against Hunger

This organization packages meals that are sent to countries all over the

world and are also given to local food shelves. This package of food

contains rice and nutrients, which can help save people from starvation

and malnutrition.  Each packet costs under 25 cents and can serve up to

6 people. Zion participates in this project every September. Each year we

have had over 100 people of all ages who have helped us in assembling the

packages of food that have been sent all over the world. What an incredible

blessing for us to be able to work together for something so very special.

This is for everyone of any age!

Pantries United - The congregation of Zion supports Pantries United, our local food shelf, through our annual budget and with special offerings through the year.

Vacation Bible School Donations

During Vacation Bible School, the children's daily offerings are donated to

the American Red Cross, Pantries United, and our local food banks.

Lutheran World Relief Quilt-Making

The last Monday of every month, a group of Zion women gather to make

quilts that are sent around the world through Lutheran World Relief. This

valuable ministry has been going on for many, many years.
